Philosophy

Too often we easily fall into despair. The best way to come out of that despair is to do something worthwhile. Activism is worthwhile. If each of us daily did something to make the world a better place then a true transformation would take place. With a little more effort, committment and solidarity, we can move mountains and achieve a participatory democracy with active peace and social justice. Do something today. Power from Within

©1983 JeanneE Hand-Boniakowski

If you think about a seed, bursting at its seams, longing to reach fingers out and grow, reaching for the sun rooting through the Earth, if you think about a seed you will know.

If you think about a spider, spinning at her web, shuttling like nature's ebb and flow. A spider takes the silk from her body as she weaves, if you think about a spider you will know.

If you think about the moon, dancing in the sky, her ancient waltz of maiden, mother, crone. The oceans and the women celebrate her tides, if you think about the moon you will know.

If you think about a woman singing from her soul, echoing through time and space she goes, sings her sisters and her brothers, of her children and her lovers, if you think about a woman you will know.

Chorus
Power from within, the healing power of nature, power than can end the pain of alienation, living side by side, refusing domination. God or Goddess, Satyagraha, call it human, call it sacred, like a seed, the moon, a woman, every person has the power from within.
