JeanneE
Hand-Boniakowski, RN
JeanneE was born on January 19, 1958 in Syracuse, NY. She is the
third child in a family of five (three sisters and one brother).
JeanneE was a professional animal handler and trainer on
Broadway being part of the national touring company for both
"The Wiz" and "Annie". She graduated
from Castleton State
College, Castleton, VT in May 1990 with an Associates Degree in
Nursing. She is a registered nurse and a registered dental
assistant currently employed in a progressive dental office in
Manchester VT. She is an accomplished musician and singer
co-producing an album entitled Power from Within in 1985 with
her husband, Jozef. She is an avid reader and student of
buddhism. See JeanneE's

active amateur (ham) radio
operator with callsign KA1PMS holding a technician plus license.
She was first licensed in 1987. JeanneE is an ordained
minister in the Universal Life

Jozef
Hand-Boniakowski
Jozef was born on January 15, 1949 in Chelmsford, England. He is
an only child. He graduated from Saint Peter's College (a Jesuit
institution), Jersey City, NJ in May 1970 with a Bachelors of
Science Degree in Physics. He received his Masters of Science
Degree in Science Education from Monmouth
University, West Long Branch, NJ in May 1976. Jozef
completed his unaccredited PhD in Information Technology and
Distance Education from the then and still controversial
Greenwich University in May, 2000. He served two years
active duty (six year commitment 1968-1974) with the United
States Navy Reserve during the Vietnam era stationed in
Guantanamo Bay, Cuba (1971-1973). Jozef has a 30-year
teaching career which ended on June 11, 2000 with his graduation
and retirement from Burr and
Burton Academy in Manchester, VT. Since then Jozef has
been employed in research and development within the
telecommunications industry. Jozef writes poetry, songs
and plays dulcimer and autoharp. Jozef was the webmaster of
the national Veterans For Peace website for years receiving
their Peacemaker award in 2004. He is the co-founder of
Southern Vermont Veterans For Peace Chapter 88. Jozef is
an amateur (ham) radio operator with call sign WB2MIC holding an
Extra Class license. He was first licensed in 1963. Taking
a cue from his wife's folk album, Power from Within, and
believing in the principle of doing no harm, Jozef is an
ordained minister in the Universal
Life Church. Why Not?
Together
JeanneE and Jozef have two children: Guinnevere born October 21,
1981 and Dylan Emrys (who calls himself Flang B. Gemring) born
November 21, 1985. Flang is a Technician class amateur radio
operator holding callsign N1UKP and was first licensed at age 9.
He is a well respected young graphics artist. Guinnevere
is a Class of 2003 graduate of Sarah
Lawrence College. She is an amateur radio operator
with callsign KA1ZWK holding a General class license which he
achieved at age 12 first being licensed at age 10.
JeanneE and Jozef have homebuilt their own home in the
independent progressive State of Vermont in 1985 adding passive
solar heat and active solar photovoltaic capabilities with an
addition in 1995. The family operates and has maintained a
224.96 MHZ full-duplex windmill powered amateur radio voice
repeater atop Northeast Mountain in Wells, VT since 1990.
JeanneE and Jozef have spoken extensively over the years on
topics as diverse as Nuclear Weapons in Your Community,
Pacifism, Vegetarianism, Attitudinal Healing, Science and
Atheism, Cuba, Corporate Greed, etc. They are currently
writing a book about their family experiences during Jozef's
kidney donation to their son, Dylan. They are best friends and
plan to be together forever and two. JeanneE and Jozef are
active Unitarian Universalists
at the UU Society of Glens Falls, NY. In 1999, they
brought the IFCO Pastor's
for Peace IX Friendshipment of humanitarian aid through Rutland,
VT on May 1, 1999 and Glens Falls, NY on June 1. They were
involved with the Vermont Progressive party and Ralph Nader's
2000 presidential campaign, and now, Ralph Nader's 2004
presidential campaign.
